About Our Data, Our Selves
Our Data, Our Selves was initially developed in 2021 and 2022 by University of Oregon Professor Colin Koopman in conjunction with UO Development Services personnel in the UO Information Services Division (specifically Cameron Seright, John Zhao, and Shirley Galloway). Mare McLevey, Ph.D. grad in the UO Philosophy Department, contributed additional content development assistance.
The site is conceived as a joint research showcase and teaching tool and was made possible through funding from the UO Williams Fund (in support of the site's work in teaching initiatives associated with two technology ethics courses at UO, PHIL 123 and PHIL 423) and infrastructural support from the UO New Media & Culture Program and the UO Philosophy Department. Research featured on the site was funded through a variety of sources including a UO College of Arts & Sciences Humanities Summer Award, a UO Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation Faculty Research Award, an Oregon Humanities Center Research Fellowship, and a Research Scholar Award from the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics.
